Who Controls Your Data

The controller for personal data processed on this website and in the Polybase Service is Polybase GmbH i. Gr. (in formation), c/o Kücük, Rupertistr. 3a, 22609 Hamburg, Germany, represented by its managing director Serdar Gökay Kücük. You can reach us at [email protected].

No Cookies, No Tracking

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking services. We serve fonts and images ourselves and embed no third-party content. Your choice of light or dark theme is stored only in your browser (localStorage) and is never sent to us. When you close the “No cookies here” notice, your browser also remembers that in localStorage so it doesn’t show again on every page.

Hosting and Server Logs

This website is delivered through Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). On every request, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, the time, the page requested, and your browser and operating system, in order to deliver the page and protect it from attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and reliable delivery (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; transfers to the US rely on this adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).

Demo Requests, Partner Applications and Email

When you request a demo, apply as a partner, or write to us, we process the details you give us, such as your name, work email, company and message. Forms send these details directly to our own service at polybase.app. We use them only to handle your request and get in touch with you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering a contract), and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete the details once they are no longer needed for this and no legal retention duty applies.

Your Polybase Account

When you create an account in the Polybase Service, we process the data needed to provide it: your name, your email address, and the content you and your team store in the service. The legal basis is the contract for using the service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Use of Information

We use this data to provide, operate and improve the service, and to send you technical notices, security alerts, and support and administrative messages.

  • Service delivery: To manage your account and deliver what you asked for.
  • Security: To detect abuse, audit sign-in patterns, and preserve the integrity of the service.
  • Improvement: To understand how the product is used and ship better versions.

Sharing of Information

We may share information about you as follows or as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy:

  • With vendors, consultants, and service providers who need access to carry out work on our behalf.
  • In response to a request for information if we believe disclosure is required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process.
  • With your consent or at your direction.

Security

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Your Rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectify (Art. 16), erase (Art. 17) and restrict the processing of (Art. 18) your data, and to data portability (Art. 20). You can object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interest (Art. 21), and withdraw any consent you have given with effect for the future. Write to us at [email protected]; we reply within the legal deadline. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; ours is the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
