Polyspace gains office mode and floor plans

Polyspace, the spatial pixel office inside Polybase, now has an office mode. Instead of assembling a space tile by tile, teams pick from curated furniture and ready-made room templates — meeting rooms, quiet corners, open desk areas — and get a space that looks and behaves like an office from the first minute.

The most direct way to make a virtual office feel familiar is to make it yours: Polyspace can now import a floor-plan image and turn it into a room you can walk into. Upload the plan of your real office, and the layout your team already knows — the corner room, the long corridor, the desks by the window — becomes the layout of your pixel one.

The characters walking those corridors got an upgrade of their own. A new pixel character engine redraws every avatar with sharper sprites and smoother movement, part of a broader sprite quality pass across the whole space.

Rooms are also becoming places where work actually happens, not just where people stand. Kanban boards can hang inside a room so a stand-up happens around the board it is about. Work desks give people a spot to sit, and wall-mounted TV screens carry screen share — walk into a room and see what is being presented, the way you would in a physical office.

Presence is the point of all of it: seeing who is around, walking over to ask a question instead of scheduling yet another call. And like every Polybase module, Polyspace runs wherever your workspace does — including entirely on your own servers.
