Give your distributed team a place to work.

Polyspace is a 2D pixel office where teammates have avatars, rooms and desks. Walk over to talk, put a screen on the wall — and let the bigger calls happen in the channel, with live captions.

Manifesto

Remote work didn't lose the office. It lost the hallway.

What distributed teams miss isn't desks — it's peripheral awareness. Who's around, who's heads-down, the question you'd ask on the way to coffee. Polyspace renders that layer: a pixel office where presence is something you can see, walking up to someone connects the audio, and headphones politely mean 'not now'.

Before · After

From a grid of green dots to a floor you share.

Remote by default
  • Presence is a green dot
'Active' tells you someone's laptop is open — not whether they're really around.
  • Calendar Tetris
A two-minute question needs an invite, a link and a slot three days out.
  • Calls that float free
Meeting links live in calendars and DMs, far from the project they're about.
  • Focus is invisible
There's no way to see who's heads-down, so interruptions land at random.
With Polyspace
  • An office you can see
Avatars, rooms and personal desks. Sitting somewhere shows your teammates exactly where you are.
  • Walk over to talk
Approach a teammate and spatial audio connects. Walls keep a room's conversation private to the people inside.
  • Screens on the wall
Share your screen to the room's TV, and pin docs to the room so the Q3 plan is already on the wall when you walk in.
  • Headphones mean heads-down
Put your headphones on and the office noise fades — the team sees you're focused, and someone can still tap you when it truly matters.
  • Big calls stay in the channel
Channel calls on the Jitsi stack bring one-click screen share, live captions and a call chat that stays with the project.
Why it works

Presence, serendipity, and a record.

(01)

Presence you can see

Desks, rooms and headphone states replace the guesswork of a status dot.

(02)

Conversation without ceremony

Walking up replaces scheduling for the small stuff — no invites, no links, no lobby.

(03)

The record stays with the work

When a chat becomes a real meeting, the channel call keeps captions, screen share and chat next to the project.

The shape of it

An office, measured honestly.

Meeting links
Walk up to a teammate and the conversation starts — no invite, no URL.

Browser-based captions show what's being said, as it's said.

Screen share that heals itself if the connection hiccups.

Places to run it
Our EU cloud, your VPC or your own server — the office runs wherever Polybase runs.
How it works

Moving in, in four steps.

  1. 01

    Open the office

Switch on Polyspace and your team gets a pixel office out of the box. New teammates spawn at reception — onboarding is a walk around the floor.

  2. 02

    Make it yours

Enter edit mode: lay floors, raise walls, drop desks, plants and the occasional arcade machine from the built-in marketplace — then repaint to taste.

  3. 03

    Claim a desk

Everyone sits somewhere. Personal desks make presence legible, and headphones signal focus without a status message.

  4. 04

    Let conversations find you

Small things happen by walking over; bigger ones move to a channel call with captions, screen share and a chat that stays.

FAQ

About bringing the office online.

It looks like a game because offices are spatial — but the presence, the spatial audio, the screen share and the calls underneath are the real thing. The pixels are just an honest interface for 'who is where'.

No. Calls run on the Jitsi/WebRTC stack built into Polybase, start from the channel they belong to, and are encrypted in transit (DTLS-SRTP).

Yes. The whole office — avatars, rooms, spatial audio, the Jitsi stack — runs wherever Polybase runs: our EU cloud, your VPC, or a server in your basement.

Next step

Give the team its hallway back.

We'll walk you through a live Polyspace office — rooms, desks, walk-up audio and channel calls — and sketch what a floor for your team could look like.
